Cultivation

should be between 6 - 7,5, and the soil should be free of weeds
and stones. On light soils, a regular supply of water and nutrients
is important, on heavy soils the maintenance of the crumble structure
as well as the avoidance of water accumulation is essential.
Irrigation
systems are a recommended precondition for a successful cultivation.
This is especially valid for the cultivation of modern high performance
varieties, to make sure that their quality and yield potential can
be fully used.
