Preconditions for cultivation

Production factors given by the site as soil, climate, machine park, market structure, storage capacity etc. determine the choice of the variety. Opposite to the past, when the variety often was the limiting factor in the successful marketing, today, there is an extensive range of varieties on the market. Thus, it is generally possible to choose a variety to fit the production factors, which usually canīt be changed so easily. In any case, the reciprocal relation between variety and site should be taken into consideration.
