Corn
(zea mays L.) is a cereal and thus belongs to the family of grasses
(gramineae).
Sweet
corn is an independent form (var. saccharata) within the manifold
form group of corn. As regards biology of flowers, morphology and
physiology it has equal characteristics as field corn and the requirements
on climate and soil are principally similar
